The Director of Military Operations and Intelligence presents his compliments to the Under Secretary of State for the Colonies and begs to forward herewith a copy of a letter and map received from Messrs Kelly and Walsh Ltd. relative to a portion of the British Boundary of Hong Kong and Leased Territories.
Major General Sir J.T.Burnett Stuart would be glad of any comments Sir James Masterton Smith may have to make regarding the question of the boundary raised in this letter. The boundary as shown on the map in question (G.S.G.S.1393) was taken from the map attached to the Convention between Great Britain and China signed at Peking on the 9th of June 1898.
